Almost two years on, still a great phone,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: HTC Wildfire Sim Free Mobile Phone - Metal Mocha (discontinued by manufacturer) (Electronics)
I bought this phone the month after it came out and I'm still using it today and am not thinking about getting rid of it. Though I had a moment of jealousy when my boyfriend bought his Wildfire S I didn't really mind the difference in screen quality as he uses his more and I just use mine for phone stuff and music.
The phone stuff works fine then, with contacts being saved against names and against Facebook and twitter accounts so like up pictures and status updates - good. Outside of the contacts bit I eventually took off the Facebook app as it kept crashing, though I don't know if that's more to do with the app then the phone. I like the operating system, it's logical and I'd be happy to use Android on later phones. The camera is good, it saves to the memory card with my music, so there's sometimes a fight between the two and I do have to limit the amount of music I keep on there when I'm on holiday. It's a really good size, I have oversized phones and its one of the reasons I went for this HTC rather than one of the others or a Samsung (never an isheep). Internet looks OK, I'm on O2, though I had some difficulty setting it up because the SIM free one comes without preset doo-dahs that O2 walked me through over the phone. Since then, no problem. Music comes out a little tinny but it's not too bad and it's just great to have something in the background when putting my make-up on or in the shower.
So I'd be happy to recommend this phone, you can probably pick them up quite cheap now and it's never given me any problem.
