5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely stunning!, 18 Mar. 2014

This review is from: Scorpions Best Rockers/Ballads (Audio CD)
I bought this on cassette in 1989 for £7.25 (I still have the receipt and inlay card). I transferred it to CD about 5 years ago and have not regretted it. Especially as it appears quite difficult to get it and all the tracks on it.
Of all the "greatest hits"/"compilations" I have ever heard, I can't recall one as consistent as this. There is not a poor track on here. If you are deterred by the title, let me make it clear - there are NO ballads on this album. The slowest is probably "The Zoo", but it is possibly the heaviest.
If you don't want to fork out for this, then buy, rip or download the tracks on here and play them in this order. I assure you, you will be stunned.
Before owning this, I was aware of The Scorpions through albums owned by my friends. Unfortunately owning this makes their studio albums seem a bit of an anticlimax as the level of consistency here cannot be maintained on a regular studio album. By anyone.
The weakest track is possibly the cover of The Who's "I Can't Explain". However apart from W.A.S.P.'s cover of "The Real Me", it is one of the best Who covers I know.
You need these songs.

Totally agree. What an awesome collection of songs. I also totally love hot and slow best of ballads by scorpions, another fantastic collection of the highest quality music.
