After the brilliance that was the first five books of Harry Potter - I was a hooked and crazy fantatic about the series. I would check on websites very day for an update on situations! But, when HBP arrived - I read it and I was gutted! It was appauling!
The way she redused the character of Hermione to a silly jealous girl and how she hyped up Ginny to be "perfect" It was beyond unfathomable! As a person who takes up alot into shipping sides of what I read/watch I always thought what JK had was a perfect balance of romance fantasy humor and everything else to make it a classic series! But in HBP the romance seemed to be over taking!
And the romance wasn't even realistic or true to the first five books! And i'm 16 years old in English schools - surrounded by English boys and girls, It really isn't all about the romance!
The only good thing about the plot was Dumbledore! He saved it from being the most pathetic book i've ever had the displeasure to pick up!
To me HBP was like an extremely badly wrote fanfic and JK will have to work very hard to get my respect back after HBP!
