5.0 out of 5 stars Better than a Spitfire, 13 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: De Havilland Mosquito Bomber [DVD] (DVD)
Ask any boy/man which plane they would have liked to have flown in the war and most would say the Spitfire. I used to think this but now I have seen this DVD I have changed my mind. I came accross the name of the aircraft on a program on the History channel Freeveiw channel 12. I could not find much about it on the internet then tried Amazon and found this one.

It is a facinating DVD and I wonder how we would have won the war without it. there are many points about it that have just stuck in my mind like............. in the first 1000 missions they only lost 12 aircraft. It was 22 months from drawing board to being in service. They ordered 50 planes as light Bombers but before they were finished they took them as light Bombers, a fighter and recognicence. They used to send out a lone plane to photograph europe travelling 2000 miles. They could outrun a 109 and fire weapons from 300 feet and hit the target. They even put a ship gun into the body and shot at ships in harbours.

Do buy this DVD and like me be amazed at what this plane did
