great album with rubbish instrumentals in-between the tracks,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Fantastic (Audio CD)
I bought this album when it was out many years ago on LP and loved it, I always felt Wham were a lot more than just a boy band for starters George Michael did everything, from write, play and produce.
So why only 3 stars, well I am all for adding demo's, lost tracks, b sides to a CD or on a bonus disc, however what I don't like is the feel of the original album ruined, by placing instrumental tracks in-between the original track listing, so you get three surplice instrumental in-between tracks which ruin the flow of the album, yes you can programme your CD to skip them, but you should not have too, they should have been placed at the end of the original album. Anyway rant over, apart from that it was a great album.

When re-issuing albums like this one, I wish on Disc 1, they'd leave the original album alone... Disc 2 could have featured the largely instrumental version of "Blue" as it appeared on THE FINAL and the CLUB TROPICANA single, the vocal and lyric version of "Blue" that is unreleased but exists, the 12" extended WHAM RAP Social Mix, the Unsocial Mix, YOUNG GUNS 12", the BAD BOYS 12", the RAY OF SUNSHINE (Recorded for TV) 12" version, and the WHAM Megamix from this era. Then tack on the instrumentals...

Very good review.
I thought Amazon had the track-listing mixed up, but alas no.
Won't be buying it now.
