This review is from: The Prisoner [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Excellent new vision of The classic Sixties series.

Ian McKellen is an inspired choice as Number 2. The Village itself is beautifully realised.
Jim Caviezel aquits himself admirably as Number 6 - albeit a less angry and forceful character than Patrick McGoohans creation.

This is not a carbon copy of the original, neither is it a pale imitation.

Bold, beautiful, mysterious, intriguing and sometimes shocking.

Six episodes of brave Television making in an age of playing it safe - wish there were more.

You'll either love this or hate it - there's no middle ground

The discs themselves are good. Seeing the episodes in HD is well worth the extra.

Special features are annoyingly chopped up in to bits rather than one good documentary - minor quibble though as the extras are very good.

9/10 be seeing you.....

And on blu-ray you don't get f**king adverts, good review, "Seeing the episodes in HD is well worth the extra" did it for me. Oh it was filmed in Tunisia, The UK Daily Telegraph did some column inches on it, check it out.
