Am I the only one who was shocked to find how small this book is? Of course, I should have checked the dimensions before buying, but somehow I don't feel too stupid for assuming that a book of beautifully shot photographs would be of a size where they can be appreciated... not some titchy pocket book.

By keeping the size small it can be positioned as an "impulse buy" item near bookshop cash tills, whereas a larger format, as well as being more expensive to produce, would be limited to shelves and tabletop spaces in stores. Personally I think it would be great if a larger-sized option could be costed in to the overall budget, just as some women's magazines get produced in both standard size and mini-sized formats... technically it is possible, but only a few books get such treatment and publishers are usually very nervous about production costs unless it's a celebrity chef million copy seller or some such.
