Vivid Fiction Can Be Heaven,
This review is from: Alt Hist Issue 3: The Magazine of Historical Fiction and Alternate History (Kindle Edition)
In "Dublin Can Be Heaven", Seamus Sweeney seduces us with generous helpings of full Irish breakfast in the comfort and familiarity of Bewley's Cafe. Then he opens the door and lets the cold chill in, serving up a haunting tale of espionage and revenge in the aftermath of World War II. Harry, the protagonist, is utterly believable, while Sweeney has clearly done his historical research. Well worth reading.
