Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Simple Shelters: Tents, Tipis, Yurts, Domes and Other Ancient Homes (Paperback)
This book reviews named typologies eg Tipis, Yurts etc, with a brief description of each typology and annotated drawings on the facing pages.
The drawings have been printed to such a small scale that I cannot read their detail ( I have normal eyesight for a middle aged person). Similarly the annotations are so small that I cannot read them. It is clear that a huge amount of work has been put into this small book. So I'm disappointed not to be able to read it. I suppose I could invest in a magnifying glass. But the question remains; having put together such an interesting study, did the author shy away from really sharing his project, or was he simply let down by the printers?

Chances are it was picked up by Wooden Books as a suitable addition to this very well known range. It's unlikely the book could have received anything like the level of exposure it has through any other publishing route available to the author. Or else it was commisioned for the series so again, probably not a matter of choice.
