What a frightening book. But we mustn't forget that while most of these "crimes" were being committed Tony Blair was Prime Minister and therefore ultimately responsible.(If the EU really want him they are welcome as long as we can keep our distance)
I think the worst two were the gold sale at the lowest possible price and the destruction of a pension system which was the envy of the world. Not to forget the enormous debt which was run up when we should have been accumulating reserves.

That is one of the main flaws with Socialism though isn't it? Tax 'em till they bleed is their motto. Socialists don't believe in building up reserves because they believe they can always tax 'the rich' more to pay for all their politically motived and deeply flawed programmes.
