Spikes - not as compact as claimed!,
This review is from: Kahtoola MICROspikes-Black-L (Sports)
The Kahtoola spikes are certainly just the ticket for running on ice. My only complaint "fits easily into a pocket" - In whose world. I run in all weathers and race 10k to Ultra. Even the carrying gear I use on Ultra would not allow for these to be carried easily, and certainly not without risk of damage to other kit. Should either 1. Come with a Kevlar pouch or 2. tell it like it is. They are great if leaving for your run from home or directly from a car. Not so good to carry in case you come across ice - they are simply not MICRO.

Fabiola makes a very good point from the perspective of an athlete involved in running. Kahtoola 'MICRO' spikes were created by Danny Giovale in the 90's as a substitute for fully blown crampons. Kahtoola are examples of a range of micro crampons including ICEtrekkers Diamond Grip and Yaktrax XTR, all of which are sold by ICEGRIPPER. If like Fabiola you are regularly involved in all year round running, you might want to consider ICESPIKE - traction system- ice grips for runners - no straps, chains or coils. Fabiola, if you read this review call us on our Ice Grip Adviceline: 0844 272 3444 we will give you a very good discount if you wish to try them. Walk, work, run and play on winter ice and snow with ICEGRIPPER.
