great functionality, but battery issues already,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)

Let me preface this with this is early days for my TomTom, i've only just had it over a month.
Fantastically easy set-up
great and clear on screen images and instructions whilst in use
Good alternative views
Great international maps (France, Turkey, Portugal - yes, I've made good use, despite only having had it 1 month!
From fully charged lasts only about 90mins without the in-car cable, and losing 100% of the charge within a week if left unused. Not what I need in a satnav. I am particularly paranoid about it because my last tomtom died the same way.
We'll see if things improve - without this issue it would be 5 stars.

This is not an issue, it's a CAR sat nav and VERY cheap one. It's supposed to be plugged in all the time.
And 90 minutes is not bad at all, frankly it always be enough batt. juice to find the place and later return to your parked car.
Currently I have a 300€ Navigon and it's not much difference in battery life.

I often wondered why my the battery on my Tom Tom One sometimes lasted a week (when the unit was turned off) and sometimes went flat by the next day. Now I've noticed that the unit is often on, without me having touched it for some days! I tend to leave it near my PC, so I wonder if this is caused by some induction effect. It does explain the pathetic retention of battery power even when the unit is switched off though.
