Love at first sight,
This review is from: Bridge: All You Need to Play the Game (Collins Need to Know?) (Paperback)
I am a beginner in bridge and I came across this book brousing in a bookshop. I wanted a clear and attractive book and this one caught my eye immediately. In particular, I was drawn to the tables of point boundaries for opening and responing bids for balanced and unbalanced hands. I just liked the way this crucial information was set out clearly. All other bridge books seem to have this information hidden away in the text and you have to hunt around for it especially when you want to refer back to it. Just one irritating thing - not a big deal though - is that Mr Robson revisits topics covered earlier in the book but in more detail. I found this very confusing especially when having to try to get in your head opening, responding and then rebidding only for it to be covered a second time.
