Pleasant, but expensive for seawater!,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Audiclean Ear Cleansing Wash 60ml (Personal Care)
I've just suffered from a lot of earwax build-up, which resulted in the loss of hearing in one ear. After getting them both syringed, the wax in one ear had moved but not come out, so I purchased this product in the hope that not only would it prevent future waxy mishaps, but with a bit of luck dislodge the stubborn bits as well.
The container holds 60ml, and is applied via a cylindrical push-down fitting which resembles an oracular examination thing that doctors use (!!). When this is pressed down, the liquid shoots out with gentle force, as it is stored under pressure. Using it is not uncomfortable, although it feels odd the first time you do it. Indeed, it becomes rather pleasant actually.
It's recommended to use 2-3 times a week, and the blurb advises that you wait ten days before you notice the difference. I wasn't expecting much in the way of a fresh feeling in my ears, but that's exactly what I got - it's a strange sensation that is difficult to put into words; similar to using a nasal spray, but without the menthol. Hard to describe!
"Natural, chemical-free, pH balanced, isotonic seawater, sterile formula and rich in bicarbonates"
Does this mean it's just seawater??? It seems VERY expensive if that's the case, as I don't think one bottle will last long if the usage advice is followed faithfully.
Overall, I like the feeling of freshness from audiclean. I have to wonder at the price though. And the stubborn wax is still there!
