This book is a puzzle, beautifully simplistic at first but gives the impression of much deeper levels underneathe the surface. It is quite an easy book to read, mainly in letter-form but it keeps making me ask questions which I cannot answer. There is much that is unexplained but the book gives the feeling that the reader is entering into the rather chaotic territory of the main character's head. Everything is portrayed through his thoughts and feelings. there is no opportunity to gather information about characters or events other than via the reflections of the main character. It is a very interesting and challenging book which uses a delightful touch of irony and humour to convey very depp emotions.
