Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
What a great invention. With a bit of imagination there is a lot you can do with something like this. Stuff dictating boring business memos. You can wander down memory lane and record your autobiography in a matter of hours on this thing. Record movie reviews, your day to day diary. Anything. I can't believe I never thought of getting one of these before. When you pass on your family will have hours of your voice droning on about X, Y and Z.
It's so straightforward with no messing about. You stick it under your mouth, press record and then talk. There's no big production to it.
You can mumble very, very quietly into the machine, and it will pick up your voice with no problem.
A SD card is pretty much essential. Without one you can't transfer your recordings from the machine. Your PC will have to have a SD card adaptor to get it into your computer. I feel the lack of a simple universal USB port wasn't super clever.
This works as well as you can expect. Very easy to use and the sound quality seems good. The sibilance is a little harsh on any `s' or `th' sounds you make, but it doesn't matter too much. It records between 24 and 64kbps MP3. iTunes recommends 64kbps for audiobooks so I think that's more than enough for just the human voice.
It's a great little machine. I highly recommend it.
