This review is from: BAND OF HORSES-INFINITE ARMS (Audio CD)
I have listened to this album almost 10 times to see if its a grower and.... its not. it's over produced, polished and lacklustre. I guess thats what happens when you sign to a big label. I expected so much after "cease to begin" and "everything all the time".

yep-bit bland to say the least.

It's not bland, it's melancholic. There's a difference. This album is beautiful. Not everyone wants thumped over the head with noisy guitars. Loud does not mean good and melancholic, reflective songs does not mean bland.

I don't normally like polished works when a band has started off producing albums with rough edges, but in this case I think it works. It grew on me. I feel your pain though. Sorry for the let-down. Just copy the songs you do like from 'Infinite Arms' on to another disk and play over and over again. :)
