Old but good.,
This review is from: Eve Was Framed: Women and British Justice (Paperback)
This book was unavailable in the library network, but the writer's name told me it would be worth having, a rare instance of a lawyer explaining her trade in honest and simple language. So I was delighted to find it at a bargain price from Amazon.
Kennedy makes the dry details of British law lively and memorable, full of human stories and humane insights. Since the book was written, the law has ponderously moved on - in some ways, however, what Kennedy has to say is still mostly accurate, and is very, very important if we want to live in a free and civilised country.
