3.0 out of 5 stars SanDisk - Not worth the box - It is now!, 7 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: SanDisk Clip Zip 8GB MP3 Player with FM Radio - Black (discontinued by manufacturer) (Electronics)
Well thanks to a kind Amazon user responding to my previous damning review I have now unlocked the European volume limiter. This little unit now works fine connected to my hifi. It works really well. The screen is a little small and I havent yet sussed out getting the album covers to show but it is easy to use. For any future potential purchaser that have difficulty with low volume, go to settings, factory reset, pick English, then "rest of the world", this unlocks the ridiculous Euro volume setting.

From reading the reviews here, reinitialize it and set it to "Rest of World" when it asks, and the volume is much louder.

Thanks Joe. I have updated my review. All sorted. The unit does what I had hoped, plays really well through my hi-fi. Thanks again.

Album art shows automatically on mine once I click on the particular Album in the Album menu. The album art also shows as each track plays.

Hi Howard

Did you use windows media player to sync with? I did and album art is missing.

Hi Chris
I have been ripping my CD's to FLAC using dbPoweramp and its internet info about each CD usually picks up the cover art automatically.
I then just drag and drop the album, which contains the jpg cover art image as well as the FLAC files, into the Clip-Zip using the MSC function. I don't sync at all.
I hope this is of some help.
Good luck!

Thanks alot mate.. you really made my day regarding the factory reset as I gave up on this MP3 player's low volume; but that suggestion did the trick and what a difference. Thanks again

The player has a 100k file size limit for album art. If the image file for the artwork is over 100k then it won't show.

I think the art, as well as being 100k or less, needs to be 500px by 500px or less too
