I am a big fan of Marcus. I have heard him a lot on TV and radio and he is coherant and very funny on occasions. From reading other reviews I was under the impression that this book would contain some ordered (and amusing) thoughts on his early life through 'til his atheism.
This book is just a collection of random thoughts - definately not amusing (not in bad taste, just not funny) and no coherant ideas or even personal anecdotes. eg an entire chapter is devoted to the god adverts on buses and the Christian Party Manefesto (who are they you may well ask - well planely not representative or relevant to any significant minority of any christians).
However, I admit I only got half way through this book (this is the only book I have not finished in years!!) so maybe the concluding half redeems itself, although I am not going to waste my time to find out!!!
Stick to stand up please Marcus (please note - I am not a christian, and have no particular axe to grind on either side of the religious debate).
