THE DYKEMASTER = THE RIDER ON THE WHITE HORSE.,
This review is from: The Rider on the White Horse (New York Review Books Classics) (Paperback)PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE THIS AS A PLOT DESCRIPTION,A CRITIC'S REVIEW OR A BIOGRAPHY OF THE AUTHOR.( You can read the Amazon main page above for that ). This is only a warning about alternate titles, so that people do not think they are different books, buy both, and find it was the same book under different titles!!!
As indicated in the description above, beware to anyone who might already have the translation under the title " The Dykemaster", this book with the title " The Rider on the White Horse " is the same book in another translation, with another title, better as nearer to the original German name " DER SCHIMMELREITER ".

D. C. Jackson says:
'The Dykemaster' is an up-to-date translation (1996) of Der Schimmelreiter complete with extensive notes and maps. 'The Rider on the White Horse' dates from 1964 without notes or maps. There is no comparison.
