Did Clancy really write this book?,
This review is from: The Teeth of the Tiger (Hardcover)
I have always been a Clancy fan and eagerly await each offering. Iactually liked Red Rabbit although his recent work has certainly not beenchallenging. I used to have to work to get through the first third of aClancy novel and then became obsessed by it. Now it has all the pull ofchick lit and my 8 year old son has been reading bits of it! I kept TOTTuntil I had a weeks holiday and was really looking forward to it. I keptwaiting for it to get better and it never did. In places it was totallyimplausible and like a plot a child would come up with that hasn't beenthought through. Then I began to think that it must have been a ghostwriter. I can't believe that a master such as Clancy could produce thisand let it be printed. THANK YOU TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE LEFT NEGATIVERESPONSES - it made me realise that it was really as awful as I thought!

I know exactly what you mean. I just came here to check that it was actually Clancy that wrote this. It doesn't feel at all like one of his books.
