1.0 out of 5 stars Science museum - shame on you!, 10 Oct. 2009

This review is from: Science Museum My Mystery Mid Air Floating UFO (Toy)
The box promises a full explanation of how it works and the science behind it.

The Science....What you mean the string it hangs by? When did that become science???

I've been hoodwinked and as this is a Science museum product, they have to realise that this is damaging their brand - I love the science museum but will not buy any more of their toys. Don't be fooled, it's cardboard on a string.

You may like to know that the promised scientific explanation is actually an explanation of how molecules attach together to form the string. It beggars belief......I'm stunned that the Science museum had the audacity to put their name to this product!!!

Have never taken part in these reviews, but feel so furious that am doing so! Have just bought this toy for a nephew. When wrapping it up, our son said it was what he REALLY REALLY wanted for Christmas, having seen the adverts on TV. So I went onto the Science Museum website to see it was £3 more than we'd paid for it in M

I almost pay the money in London Hamleys for this toy. They sold it for 13 pounds. A guy was showing it off to us and told us to watch the DVD inside the packing we will know how to do it. It looks really cool, when he demonstrated it.

Saw the box in Sainsbury's for £12 - picked it up; big box, very light. Researched on Internet - cardboard 'flying saucer' suspended by thread - advertised as a 'science' project. Have saved myself £12.
