TRAGICAL MYSTERY LURE,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Magical Mystery Tour (Box Set) [Blu-ray & DVD] (Blu-ray)
i was exited when i received the official BEATLES/APPLE mailshot on 22nd August announcing the release of MMT finally restored and on DVD/blu ray. I WAS A LOT LESS EXITED ABOUT THE PRE ORDER PRICE OF £59.99 !!! So im very pleased to see that Amazon are offering it a full £30 cheaper at £29.99 !!!! Apple are also offering the DVD at £19.99 (Amazon £8.89.....less than half price) and Blu ray at £24.99 (Amazon £12.59.....nearly half price).
MMT pre order prices only came through on Amazon uk yesterday, so i can only assume Apple held back confirming its price to other UK retailers by THREE WEEKS to try and maximise their own sales at these massively inflated prices. And unlike Amazon, if you had pre-ordered with Apple you would have had to pay in advance.................I guess Apple dont want to be seen to undercut other retailers by selling direct, but their prices are ridiculous and i'm sure many loyal fans wil have pre-ordered with them , not realising how inflated they were, and maybe even thinking its was exclusively direct from Apple.
Anyway, thanks again Amazon..............im looking forward to receiving my box set from YOU.

Best review I've read on this DVD. Tells me everything I wanted to know about how much you paid for it and absolutely nothing about the item in question. Well done!

bit of a pointless comment quiverbow. im advising people on what i know about pricing. the film itself has been around for a long time. i cannot comment on the hopefully superior picture/sound quality and quality of contents as its not yet released !!!

Not pointless at all. It's called 'review' for a reason
"to write a journalistic report on the quality of a new play, book, movie, concert, or other public performance"
The film may well have been issued on VHS in 1996 but a review is supposed to help people in deciding whether to buy it. The price is only one part of that. The quality, extras, etc. is another part. What if Amazon reduce the price to £19.99 before it's released, or even increase it to £39.99? Your 'review' will look a bit stupid then.

amazon is a site to buy things easily and at competitive prices..........many reviews on amazon cover practical things such as price/delivery/supplier reliability etc. if you have never seen magical mystery tour, there are plenty of reviews covering its contents in previous release formats

Yes, many people do mention price and delivery, and if it's part of the review, that's fine. Yours isn't. Those other reviews of MMT have nothing to do with this release. Some are of a 15 year old VHS and others of a bootleg copy DVD.
Why are you telling everyone Amazon is selling this for £29.99? They can see that. You're giving five stars for the price; nothing else.

im explaining just how much apple have overpriced this, as should be obvious, and saying thank you to amazon............which bit dont you understand? suggest you get a life outside of starting up pathetic arguments about nothing.......................amazon decde if reviews are suitable.....not you.

A. Holliday says:
Thanks for the advice re the price savings - very useful - and what we need to know (although 29.99 from 59.99 leaves 30).
Quiverbow on the other hand would appear to be a waste of carbon (someone explain it to him).
