a bit of 'damp squid',
This review is from: LOVE CAMP 7..(1969)..Uncut.. (DVD)Got this lovecamp 7, maybe 2 weeks ago. Expensive ... but curiosity due to its notoriety & being first of its genre, got the better of me.
For WIP fans this film is a bit of 'damp squid'. Blatently made on a 'shoe string budget with make shift dividing rooms, painted 'greyish' if you can call it a colour., movie made worst by being 'wide-screen' thereby cropping the top, bottom and sides of the film, u see half a naked woman and miss the 'bush' shot at the bottom of your TV screen.
the story line is not Oscar material.. the plot is too thin. Two American agents are sent in the camp for 5 days to inform an ex spy of a rescue plot, thus suffers themselves the indignity of rape, torture and the rest we perves so enjoy about these movies. Even for a B movie, we don't expect perfection but.. seriously, Maria Lease was the saving grace, well at least her twin airbags!
Generally the film felt too simplistic and cheap, the diretor could have done alot more with the material.
