Acccessible and insightful,
This review is from: Managing Supply Chain Risk (International Series in Operations Research & Management Science) (Hardcover)
In many ways it's a shame this book carries such a hefty price tag as there is a lot here of interest to the general reader.
As a non specialist myself I found the references to well known global companies and events that have been in the news to be of
particular interest. The book gives many insights into the consequences sometimes unpredictable events can have on businesses
and how these risks might be better managed. It also looks at ways where processes to mitigate risks can simultaneously
improve profitability even where the risk event does not occur. The book is practical and includes up to date and original research.
I'd recommend it to anyone interested in a better understanding of how businesses work.
