I'm all for the ideas of 'freecycling' as in re-using instead of throwing away and not buying new 'stuff'. But really, most of these projects are rather ridiculous. Clearly I'm the wrong age, but it seems to me you are spending time, effort and some money making 'stuff' that no-one needs and looks pretty shoddy anyway. The card designs are ok but most people, given a bit of inspiration, could probably design something similar. The tshirt embellised with a doily is quite nice. I think the best that can be said about this book is that it could inspire someone to make something original and attractive after looking at the examples, but I can't say I'd want to wear or give houseroom to anything in this book. I'd love the beautiful chair, but only so I could remove the ugly paint-job it's been subjected to and restore it to it's original natural wood beauty.
