This review is from: Annabel: An Unconventional Life (Hardcover)
An unconventional life ? well yes and enjoyable to read, again yes, but frustrating at times. This memoir lacks a linear narrative, so that on hearing someone has died we then find ourselves going back to anecdotes of their doings. The endless lists of contacts, family members and friends can also prove a bit boring, unless of course you yourself belong to that circle. There were a couple of typos that the editors should have picked up but the book is rather like a warm bath, pleasant gossipy conversation with someone whose connections and wealth allowed her to indulge in that unconventional life. The disfunctional lifestyles of the rich only goes to reinforce the rest of us, money does n't really make you happy or satisfied.
