This review is from: Kitchen Craft 15cm Stainless Steel Fine Mesh Conical Sieve (Kitchen & Home)
Maybe fine for sifting flour and icing sugar but one of my kids used it as a strainer for draining hot pasta. Not only was this then a pain to remove starch blockages from the holes (clear a user error and not a product fault!) but the whole thing distorted. Given that the reason for having a conical sieve is for some degree of control over where the contents come out of, this is then largely useless if it loses its shape. It starts to ressemble a regular sieve. We are only talking about near boiling water and not going at it with a blow torch. It can get pretty hot had it been in a dishwasher and so I would advise against doing that. So, to have a sieve that you can't wash with very hot water seems a bit flawed.

What an idiot, you use something for a purpose other than what it was designed for and then complain.
