This review is from: A Clockwork Orange (Penguin Modern Classics) (Paperback)
I bought this book after seeing the film like 20 times or more, fab film, the camera work, storyline, characters etc, all very surreal and strange.
The book is no different, its still surreal and strange, but even more so. The language used is easy to pick up, its easy to viddy what the weird words mean.
There are some differences between the book and cinematic versions, there always is isn't there? Now i adore the film, but i also loved the book, despite its rather cheesy ending, but the story is so good that you forgive both Burgess and Kubrik and enjoy both film and book for what they are.
Will diehard fans of the film appreciate the book? I think so, its certainly worth putting on your "to read" list.
