yet another generic compilation.,
This review is from: The Pete Tong Collection (Audio CD)
So here we have another beautifully packaged shiny glossy 3 CD Box-set jumping from the Radio 1 DJ's collection series bandwagon that has already become 'predictable' and tired. Pete Tong's turn to shine or at least, give Sony's permission to take his picture and stamp his mark all over it.
As a DJ, I may have a some what cynical view of any new 'past decade compilation' since as many people know; there are only so many collections that can co-exist without sharing the same ol' tracks.
In my view, if you never bought a Dance album covering the late 80's through the 90's and 2000's with some 'filler tracks' from modern day before, then this is the album for you.
Indeed, if your a 40's something person who wants to hear something racy and want a fairly well compiled dance album that will reside forever in the glow compartment of your dated Volvo - then this is the album for you. Otherwise, don't bother since if the Ministry Of Sound series hasn't covered any of these tunes on one of their brilliant albums to which you own, or any other of the 1000's available, then don't waste your money.
