Moving story from my favourite writer,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
The other books I've read by Patrick Ness are all young adult books although I think they are all what I would call crossover books. The Knife of Never Letting Go is a fabulous read and it's going to be a film next year I believe. More Than This is a book about a boy called Seth who drowns at the beginning. Ness always puts something magical into his stories - like the talking dog in Knife who I think was the best canine character in any book I've ever read.
This book is for adults and the magical element is the crane that flies into the garden of the main character. The story starts in a totally ordinary way but you soon realise that Ness is weaving his magic around the story again. This is a beautifully haunting novel. If you haven't read any Patrick Ness, then you definitely should.
