Important and disturbing book,
This review is from: Die wahre Geschichte des VW-Käfers: Wie die Nazis Josef Ganz die VW-Patente stahlen (Hardcover)
Having read it in Dutch I was delighted to see that this book has been translated into English and German. It gives a very interesting and very well written insight in the real development of the Volkswagen. The technical concept (rear engine mated to gearbox, centre chassis tube) as well as the name had been invented long before Porsche got the credits for it. Apart from this fascinating development the book also presents another disturbing insight in what it was to (try to) live and (try to) work as a Jew in Nazi Germany before and during the war.
Not only car and Volkswagen fans should read this book!
