Hit and miss but worked for me,
This review is from: Pure GOLD COLLAGEN 30 Day Programme (Personal Care)
Research would imply that collagen drinks do absolutely nothing for you as the body naturally flushes any benefit straight out, before the main ingredients have had a chance to do anything at all. However, I wanted to give this product a good work-out and drank a bottle everyday for 6-months. A rather expensive trial, but if you buy the product in Boots you can get three boxes of 10 for the price of two, which helps to spread the cost.
I made notes as to what I noticed along the way and my finding at age 45 were: after approx.2 weeks my lips seemed to be fuller! A strange thing to notice, as I never thought my lips were particularly thin, but they definitely seemed more plumped. After 1-month my hair was noticeably thicker and nails stronger. After 2-months the general condition of my skin (all over) was fantastic and far plumper, but I also take a very strong antioxidant (pycnogenol) which is renowned for it's skin benefits so I think this combined with the drinks made a potent remedy.
After 6-months, whilst I was pleased with the results on my skin and general health, I decided to give it a rest just to see if anything changed and sure enough within 2-3 weeks I noticed a marked deterioration in my skins and have now ordered a stronger based collagen drink (Neocell) to continue the work as an on-going experiment!
I guess in summary, I feel this product is very hit and miss - it works for some but not others and going back to my original comment about research, again this is sketchy and would imply these products do not work. However, my experience was pretty good, but it's an on-going investment which you have to stick with.

That is because plastic surgeouns need to make their buck, so the ''researchers'' will tell you anything and people will believe it. I do believe collagen supplements work. I am 31 and I take them and they make my skin feel very moisturised. I am not too worried about wrinkles, however sagging skin bothers me greatly and I don't want to get that! lol! :)
