1.0 out of 5 stars A bad Pantera pub tribute act, 2 Aug. 2014
This review is from: EVE OF DESTRUCTION (Audio CD)
A poor effort in terms of originality but a great effort in taking itself too serious (check the track Addiction, a ridiculous song that thinks it's a Grammy winning effort) and being nothing more than a tribute act. While most of the album is a poor man's Pantera, at best (including a near laughable Phil Anselmo impersonation), there are also nods to other bands, the worst effort being an attempt to be Hatebreed and unsurprisingly not being a patch on the class of those they are blatantly attempting to copy.

As Hostile (even the name is a Pantera reference highlighting the complete lack of imagination this band suffers from) were supporting Machine Head on their recent UK club tour I checked out this album before the gig. I'm glad I did as it meant I could leave the house later and not waste my time watching them.

Sorry I really can't agree with you, I think this is a brilliant first release from the band. I saw them live with Machine Head and they were outstanding. I think you should have listened to your mother when she said 'if you've got nothing good to say then you should say nothing'.......
