Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Uptown, Down South (Audio CD)
The music on this cd is great but I've had two copies and bizarrely both have had the sound only from one channel. No, I don't mean mono - that would emerge identically from both left & right speakers. This is unique amongst the many hundreds of cds I own. I'd be interested to know if anyone has a copy with two channel sound?

Uptown, Down SouthThe review from 'Brass Neck' is absolutely right. I purchased a brand new sealed copy of this CD from Zoverstocks and received it on 20th May. The sound only comes out of one speaker (or one headphone, if you are listening with a headset). This is unique and especially so with the Kent label, as their sound quality is usually superb. I can only imagine that there was a fault with all the pressings of this particular CD. My only challenge now is how to get a refund, as the CD was received in brand new condition, but it is virtually impossible to listen to it, when the sound is only from one channel. Amazon (and Ace Records) should have all copies of this particular CD withdrawn. Please beware if you decide to purchase a copy.
Darren Smith, Staffordshire.
