Wow, what a great camera. The high ISO performance is really excellent, better than my Nikon D300, which was good in it's day. I shoot on the X100 with Auto ISO set to 200 with a max of 3200 and you really don't need to worry then. At 1600 and 3200 it does have noise, but it is rendered in quite a nice, and totally acceptable, way. JPEGs are also handled exceptionally well, much better than many other cameras. The hybrid OVF/EVF is very good, as is the lens and image quality.
So what is bad? I'm not massively impressed by the focusing, compared to a high end DSLR that is. It is ok, but not as good as other aspects of the camera. Worst is probably the quirky handling, not very slick but something you get used to. Could be a lot lot better.
I don't recommend this camera for someone looking for a point-and-shoot. Read the DP Review site for a full detailed review.
Very glad I bought it despite any issues.
