NUANCE are cheats,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)

I fail to understand how reviewers can award this product stars at all. The manufacturer cheats by failing to disclose (at ANY stage) that they embed code into your system which hogs memory and renders virtually inoperable many Microsoft Office applications. The "install wizard" does NOT disclose that unless you laboriously do a manual setup it will insert the Nuance link into every application you have. It also surreptiously inserts the ghastly Flexnet Common Software Manager. I uninstalled it after one use. An emergency forced me to re-install it and I was so careful second time around, but still got caught out by not deticking the MS Applications links. I will now uninstall it once and for all. THIS IS A DREADFUL, PRIVACY INVADING, PIECE OF SOFTWARE; DO NOT BUY IT!

Robert N. Andrews says:
Installing the Nuance link into your Microsoft applications, is one of the features of the product! Please go to the Nuance website to see a full and detailed comparison of the different Nuance PDF create/converter products.

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked at the Nuance website in detail before reviewing this product, and there is little there to tell you about their obdurate use of Flexnet's nasty sub-program, or the fact that the Converter inserts itself as an Add-In to every MS Office program. However, the forums on the web, including Nuance's own, are universal in condemnation of Nuance's neanderthal approach to underhand inclusion of the converter in applications.
