Oh dear me..,
This review is from: Never too Young to Rock - Starring Mud, The Glitter Band and The Rubettes (Official Release) [DVD] (DVD)
Without a doubt one of the worst cash-in movies of all time!
Back in the mid 70s I was a devoted 10yr old Glitter Band fan, and I awaited this film with baited breath after numerous notifications from the fanclub, some teenybop media buzz (eg 'Look-in' magazine!), and much talk on Saturday Scene from father's favourite Sally 'Tiswas' James (who is also in the film). But I remember the overwhelming sinking feeling as I sat in the darkened cinema being subjected to the sub-Crackerjack 'humour', the tired old faces of British actors from cheap tv, and the dreadfully cobbled-together feel of the whole thing. Unfortunately pop-stars can't act - well these ones couldn't. Add to that the truly awful script, complete lack of any direction, plus even the songs' lip-syncing is badly out, and you have a nostalgic but steaming stinker!
Thank goodness I atleast had a pack of Spangles to cheer me up on the way home.

From where I'm sat, that sounds like a ringing endorsement and, consequently, have just ordered a copy. Glass raised and cap doffed for the recommendation.
