This review is from: Finding God in the Shack: Conversations on an Unforgettable Weekend (Paperback)
If you have read 'The Shack', then this is a book that is well worth reading. It is also geared to be used as a basis for group discussion as each chapter ends with several set questions. But a word of warning, enjoy the novel as a story before picking this book up.
The theological themes from the novel's text are opened up fully, many of which we may have missed on reading it, and no point of discussion appears to be avoided. The author, a professor of theology, opens up some of the main historical debates on theology and church doctrine with such refreshing clarity.
The theological themes can easily be found by chapter heading and throughout the book there are page references to the novel's text.
If you are considering using 'The Shack' as a discussion starter, or if you are looking for a refreshing theological read, then this book is a must.
