4.0 out of 5 stars Works well - the beep though..., 7 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Koolpad Qi Wireless Charger Pad compatible with Nexus 4, 5, 6, 7, Moto 360 Watch, Nokia Lumia 830, 735, 920, 930, 1520, Blackberry Z30, Catphone S50, Asus Padfone S PF500KL, Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, S5, Note 3, Note 4, Alpha with PWRcard & SlimPWRcard, iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 5, 5C, 5S with iQi Mobile, and Other Qi-Enabled Tablets & Phones(Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Works well and as my first wireless charger, I was pleased to find it charged faster than expected (Note 3).

The only annoying thing is it beeps (like every one of these devices apparently) when you place a device on it - not ideal if you have the charger next to your bed!

Search YouTube and you can (if you have some technical knowledge) stop this - takes 5 minutes. Or if you feel like being ripped off, pay another £10 for the identical charger, with the beep disabled?

Just a single beep when you place it on the charger or if the alignment is not correct. I think it's a wonderful feature as you and pop the phone on and not have to check to see if it is aligned correctly and actually charging. I don't understand why people have such an issue with the beep. It's a wonderful feature! Fonesalesman please keep the beep on all the devices because that was why I bought the charger in the first place: my Zens QI charger I had to return to Amazon didn't have the beep feature and so I had to make sure the phone was on correctly which was annoying when you just want to literally throw it onto the charger and run out the door. Always complainers no matter what you do: if it had no beep Mr Sinclair would be complaining it doesn't have a beep!

It's called personal preference. Guess what, I never use the vibrate function on my phones neither!

There is an LED that changes from green to blue to confirm charging. If you in bed with a partner and they are sleeping, the beep might wake them - for example because of shift work patterns, my wife and I are often in bed at the same time, but don't sleep the same amount.

If it had been impossible to disable the beep, then I would not have purchased the device. Unlike some, I did my research and with no beeping sound, it suits MY need perfectly.
