Interesting more than Entertaining,
This review is from: 1984 Nineteen Eighty-Four (Penguin Modern Classics) (Paperback)
1984 is one of those books you feel you should read and being the second most famous thing about that year (Everton 2 Watford 0) I decided to have a look. First of all it wasn't what I expected at all. I imagined it to be much more formal and stuffy than it was and expected it to need real concentration to read. It was a bit more light than that and ultimately it is as much a personal tale as one of the many themes others have mentioned.
Its a good book and I can see why people revere it but I am judging it on how much I enjoyed it and I would rank it as good rather than great.
