A very old friend updated,
This review is from: An Atlas of World Affairs (Paperback)
To understand what's going on in various parts of the world, you need some history, some geography, and recent events. This little book brings the three together.
I used an earlier edition of this book when teaching history and current affairs fifty years ago in the 1960s. It was so good that I used it for many years until it fell to pieces, and I still keep the remains. Many times, before the internet arrived, I tried to find an updated edition in bookshops, but without success. Recently I tried again, using Amazon, and found this edition. I checked it out on a number of topics, and it seems to live up to the effectiveness of its predecessor, but several decades more up to date! I recommend it.
