Colourful and informative; an engrossing read,
This review is from: Boutique: A '60s Cultural Icon (Paperback)
This book is for people who were there and remember the fun and excitement of going shopping and wearing outrageous 60s clothes - and its also for those who weren't - as it really does put into perspective just how amazingly daring those times were, sartorially and socially! The author has spoken to all the main players of the time - its not just a view from the sidelines.
With the Ossie Clarke retrospective coming up at the Victoria and Albert Museum - there is no better time to get acquainted with the story behind how these new fashions were sold!
I loved this book - the photos are amazing and the first hand accounts were great.
