This review is from: Gut and Psychology Syndrome: Natural Treatment for Autism, ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Depression, Schizophrenia (Paperback)
I have been finding this book extremely informative about the imppotance of good bacteria in the gut for general good health and the negative, knock on effect of how processed foods, antibiotics among other things, can seriously damage it and effect the next generations as well as leading to extreme cases such as Autism etc. and mental wellbeing. Well worth reading just to help one look at how best to maintain and improve one's own health and family and friends.

V GIBSON says:
Some people are now getting fcal transplants from healthy friends in UK.

The donor is screened; the fces is liquidized, checked for hostile microbes, then swallowed by the deficient patient. Family and friends are suggested as donors to diminish disgust.

Other primate mothers feed their newborn babies a handful of their own fces which passes-on gut bacteria; I saw a documentary showing this.

Swallowed/injected (systemic) antibiotics can wipe-out our little friends in the gut, vagina (allowing Candida albicans territorial supremacy and causing a thrush bloom) and elsewhere.

We eat pooh-yoghurt containing cultures of gut bacteria.
