A new direction has come...,
By A Customer
This review is from: A New Day Has Come (Audio CD)
From the moment I'm Alive hit's you until Nature Boy beats out its note...this album both lifts you up and brings you down emotionally.
Songs like Prayer and Goodbye's (the saddest word) will make you stop and think and in the case of Goodbye almost make you cry. It is a touching tribute to all the mothers out there and when they finally leave this world the pain they leave behind for their children.
On the other hand I'm Alive which opens the album along will have you on your feet singing your heart out along with the Canadian beauty. The same also applies to Right In Front Of You and A New Day Has Come (remix).
Celine Dion also takes a step in the direction of Cher with some two songs similar to Believe. The first is Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable) which is a great song that will have you singing along after a few listens. When the Wrong One Loves You Right is very similar in that respect but perhaps the closest to Believe.
That leaves us with a coupe of good ballads...Have You Ever Been In Love and The Greatest Reward. Both are very good and classic Celine songs for the fans.
There's a good song...and I hope I'm forgiven if I'm wrong...but it sounds very much like a country song to me...called Ten Days...whatever it is it's very good and will also have you singing at the top of your lungs.
I Surrender and Super Love are in my opinion a change in direction for Celine as she sees to go more for a dance direction with Super Love and I Surrender is great but seems unusual and unlike any other song I've ever heard Celine sing.
All in all it's a great album and well worth getting. Celine Dion's first studio since 1998 I believe and well worth it...let's hope this one can scoop as many awards as Let's Talk About Love did!
