A Christmas Humbug...(Alf, Being made Redundant). In Poem!
By Darryl (Alf) Ashton JNR!
TO THE TUNE OF:
SING A SONG OF SIXPENCE. (Please do sing along).
Sing a song of no pence,
A pocketful of nowt,
I've been made redundant,
The firm is down and out.
The mortgage men came calling
And took away my key,
I'm living rough upon the streets,
What's bloody' happening to me?
The lords are in their counting house
Counting out their money,
The bankers and the City boys
Will fly to somewhere sunny.
The Government's in a quandary
That's plain for all to see,
It seems the only losers
Are the likes of you and me.
