Having had "Wreck This Journal" previously, there was some expectation to what this one would be like - I enjoyed the style and these kind of interactive books make great presents for the less-in-to-reading types. Pocket Scavenger seems more aimed at a younger audience than previous books by Keri Smith, and though it's highly imaginative with the things to collect, the adult head on me sees it as a little..impractical. Still a great book and worth giving as a gift, though be prepared for a lot of mud, collected bits of stationery and pieces of the world constantly falling out of it and bulking it up!
the way it's laid out os great, as you can follow it like a challenge as the things to put on each page are very irrationally paired. It's very physically focused, unlike the other books which were more to do with drawing and writing. Either way, the series of books is sure to contain a great gift for someone you may know.
