Addictive yet repetitive,
This review is from: Transformers: The Game (PS2) (Video Game)
This game is one of the most addictive games i have played, the graphics are very decent, the controls are easy to understand and you are free to go where you want in the area. The damage is fun just to destroy the city and you get bonus features with stunts such as drifting.
The few problems for me is that it is so repetitive, although that could have been expected with this style of game, as mentioned it is difficult to control the cars, and whenever you hit something you will usually either just stop and not be able to move or flip. It has a very short storyline and there are 5 levels with the Autobots, and as mentioned you cannot change the difficulty, which does pose a problem.
My main moan about this game though is the fact that in each level you have the police and army always after you, with police cars constantly shooting at you, missles being launched from army buggies and loads of tanks appearing from nowhere. This gets very frustrating as you cant do much about them.
Overall though, these problems may sound a lot, but the game is very addictive, and with the plot being slightly different to the Movie, you dont know what will happen next. If it was longer and you could choose your Transformer in each level, it would be a little better.
Still, a very good game if you are a fan of Transformers, even if you have only seen the Movie.
