This review is from: Ellis Island Sound (Audio CD)
Unfortunately this CD didn't light any fires for me. I expected heavenly instrumental soundtracks to make an angel weep.
Instead its just a bit on the dull side of boring and failed to reveal the breadth of instruments (and comparisons) mentioned in other reviews. Ambient, instrumental, atmospheric this isn't but if you like having friends over for dinner and want something to go with a glass of wine then get stuck in. Moby for dessert ?

The War Baby says:
"Patronising - moi!" springs to mind. This CD is about as far away from the advert-friendly Moby as you can get. Indeed, this review seems to want it both ways. First Ellis Island Sound are criticised for not being 'angelic' or obvious enough, and then seemingly damned with coffee-table disdain for being 'too Moby-like'. Which is it? The Ellis Island Sound CDs need patience - not fire lighters desperate for an immediate spark!
